How to Come Up with a YouTube Name
If your channel is directly connected to your Google account, they will always have the same name.
However, if you want to keep your name and surname in your personal Google account, but want to rename your YouTube channel in another way, you must have a brand account at this point.
You can easily switch between your primary Google account and your Brand account with your channel.
- Open YouTube. First of all, this process cannot be done with the YouTube app. Therefore, you must sign in to YouTube from a website or mobile browser. Sign in to your account and click the user account icon. From the pop-up menu, click Settings.
- Create a new channel. You will see Show All My Channels or Create a New Channel buttons, select Create a New Channel option. Afterward, enter your brand name in the brand account field for your channel and click Create. You will then be taken to the newly created channel page, which you will replace with your existing channel.
- Move your channel to a Brand Account. Now, click your user account icon, then click Settings. Click the Advanced section that appears below your name. Click Move Channel to Brand Account.
- Confirm. Sign in to your account again for verification then select the Confirm button.
How to Change YouTube Display Name

How to change YouTube name from the YouTube app:
- Open the YouTube app and sign in to your account. Then, tap the user account icon in the top right corner of the screen.
- Touch My Channel button. After that, tap to the icon next to your name.
- On the page that appears, touch the pencil icon next to your name and type your new name.
- Lastly, click to the checkmark icon at the top right of the screen to save.
